On October 3rd, the football Panthers traveled to Wilberforce, Ohio to battle the Central State Marauders. The Panthers came out and got on the Marauders quick. The Panthers’ defense, controlled the majority of the first half, held the Marauders offense to only seven points. With slight offensive adjustments, the Panthers exploded in the second half of the game, scoring fourteen points in both the third and fourth quarter leaving the Marauders far behind on their way to Wesleyan football’s first win of the season.

Associate Head Coach Neil Harrell said of the game, “Its great getting the first team win. All three phases of the team really came together today. I was also excited to see one of our D linemen score the first touchdown of the day, we have a lot of work ahead to get to our goal but I know that this team will fight for it.”

The team is now looking ahead to their next game which will be on October 10th, 2015 at Davidson College in Davidson NC. Panther Football looks to turn the momentum of their season with this recent win, support your Panther players and show the Wesleyan Way.
